Terms of Service

Introduction

Welcome to Historis ("Service"), a client interaction tracking application operated by Sven Le Cann, sole proprietor ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Historis is available at historis.app. These terms govern your use of the web application and the associated API.

Account & Access

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to register. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

One account may belong to one organization. The organization owner can invite members and manage access. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Historis only for lawful purposes related to tracking client interactions, events, and contacts within your business. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal activity
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Upload malicious content or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service
  • Use the Service to store sensitive personal data (health records, financial data beyond what is needed for client tracking)

Our Commitments

We are committed to protecting your trust and your data:

We will never sell your data to third parties

We will never rent, share, or communicate your data for commercial or advertising purposes

We will never use your data to train artificial intelligence models

We will never display advertising in the product

The Service is funded exclusively through subscriptions

Your data is accessible only by:

  • You and the members of your organization
  • Our technical sub-processors, strictly within the scope of providing the Service
  • Competent judicial authorities upon legal request (legal obligation)

Billing & Subscriptions

Historis offers a free plan and paid plans (Pro, Business). Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.

You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.

We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Active subscriptions will not be affected until their next renewal.

Intellectual Property

The Historis application, its code, design, and branding are our property. Your data remains your property — we claim no ownership over the content you create or store in the Service.

You may export your data at any time in JSON format from the Settings page.

Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". We make no guarantees regarding uptime, data preservation, or fitness for a specific purpose. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for data loss resulting from your actions, third-party service outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.

You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days. You may export your data before termination.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be communicated by email and a notice in the application. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of France.
